School of Hope and Life of Ivanna competing in Budapest

School of Hope and Life of Ivanna will compete in Budapest International Documentary Festival on 22.1.-30.1.2022, both documentaries in their respective categories. School of Hope is competing in the category of the Brave Children and Life of Ivanna in the category of the Brave Women for the best documentary awards.

Budapest International Documentary Festival is open for documentary movies from around the world without subject restrictions. It is the only international documentary festival in the capital of Hungary. It has an international jury of 5 professionals in every section and it gives 5-6 awards with prize money along with other rewards and special mentions. 

Life of Ivanna follows Ivanna and her family closely for four years through her dramatic life-changes, from the harsh life at the tundra to the modern life in the Siberian city of Dudinka.

School of Hope is an intimate and charming portrait of optimism in the harshest of environments. In the vast expanse of desert East of Atlas Mountains in Morocco, seasonal rain and snow once supported livestock, but now the drought seems to never end.
