Karelian terror continues the themes of Rustanius’ previous documentary, Accusations against the Utopian. The Finnish in Karelia were persecuted relatively the most of all of the people in the Soviet Union. Over 4000 Finns were liquidated, and the amount of Finnish population decreased from 12000 to 8000 in just few years. The persecution affected almost every family. Even the term genocide could be used.
