Ilkka has worked as an editor in several films, tv-series and video installations. In 2008 he directed a short documentary The Treasured Waters, produced in co-operation with YLE Documentaries. Ilkka has gained Bachelor of Culture and Arts (film editing) degree and at the moment he is doing a Masters degree on Documentary directing at Aalto University School of Art and Design, Helsinki, Finland. He was selected for Berlinale Talent Campus 2010 and also the Sources 2 workshop in 2004.
